The Anthropocene is an epoch of accelerating change.

Humanity’s challenges and opportunities are expanding, becoming ever more complex. Uncertainty, unpredictability and dynamism are on the rise.

Humanity must address the ‘wicked problems’ of the Anthropocene, but our approaches to causing change are poorly matched to the complexity of the systems we want to change. And we are failing.

In late 2014, The Silwood Group began a conversation about the ‘wicked’ problems confronting the persistence of life on Earth.

Since then, The Silwood Group has been working with individuals and groups in a variety of contexts to test and develop principles, practices, theory, tools and methods for understanding and improving our ability to navigate complexity.
